Today I talked about what I stopped buying as a college student and some of my best money & finance money tips for students and young people. There are so many ways to save extra money by budgeting and limiting spending. These are just a personal preference, but hopefully you can figure out what you want to cut out in your life and prioritize instead for a long term healthy relationship with money, finance, and budgeting.
Personal finance is something I feel not enough woman POC creators talk about. Most of the conversation I feel is from White Males (and while there is nothing wrong with that), I think there’s a lot of strength and power in diversifying this conversation with different faces and experience as we all work together to crease personal finance security and transparency with one another. Talking money should no longer be a stigma as there is enough wealth and success to go around for everyone.
I do want to state how grateful and thankful I am for the privileges I do have to be even having this conversation. As a college student, I spent a lot of time back at home due to the pandemic and was lucky enough I can work a full summer 2020 internship + my full time job as a content creator + full time student at home. I am super super lucky and which is why I want to use my platform to empower and use it to spread the experience.

omg I’m such a water snob too because growing up my mom would only let us drink filtered water and was super suspicious of tap water hahha
I never bought any of these before UC Berkeley, so I don't have to stop 🙂
Hi Angelica! This was such an informative video 🥰 I saw that recently on your IG stories you’ve been on a health journey, it’d be so cool if you could make videos on your progress and any tips you have! I definitely struggled going through cycles of under-eating and overeating being home during the pandemic so if you have any advice that would be so great 😅 tho food + fitness can be a sensitive topic for some people so only if you’re comfortable documenting your journey!
finance quen <3
These are really great suggestions! and this is such an important topic to be discussing at the moment, I really enjoyed the video!

Hey so I am currently in that limbo of waiting for college admissions. I am thinking of either going to UC Berkeley if I get in, it is my dream school! But I am also thinking of maybe going to one my state schools, Northern Arizona University. Do you have any advice for making a final college decision?
Mrs Jane is legit and her method works like magic I keep on earning every single week with her new strategy,,,
me realizing I have not been spending money on any of these things already: 🥲
When buying used or new technology from Craigslist, be highly aware of scams and make sure you meet with the trusted seller in a public place.
Agree on the brunch/breakfast! It’s gotten so expensive!
don't buy used tech unless its from a friend you trust. a lot of stores take broken tech as returns and sell them as "refurbished/pre-owned." this happens pretty frequently with laptops. there is almost always something wrong with used tech, and if it breaks you don't have a warranty. just keep your old tech until it becomes more expensive to repair than replace.
this feels so middle class
the info was super helpful and the designs in your videos are so cute!!
The water bottle thing is so true
I've never drank coffe before I think since I'm in college it's time to drink it
