πŸ“œ The 1929 Stock Market Crash: Black Thursday – With our current economic climate being… dubious, we thought that it would be a good time to look at another economic disaster in American history. Just six months before Herbert Hoover gave a speech highlighting the economic success The 1929 Stock Market Crash which is closely tied to the Great Depression and felt like it came out of nowhere. But that might be a bit of a misconception. We explore what kicked off the drop, what people did to try and stop/slow it down, and why stock markets and the Economy are NOT the same thing.

  1. FACT – Central Banks are stockpiling physical gold , GLOBALLY !
We citizens should do the same ! A wise economist once stated – β€œ don’t do as bankers say , do as bankers do β€œ EVEN J P Morgan obtained physical GOLD AND PHYSICAL SILVER !!!

  2. Bad way to resume from a vacation, META down 40k, ALLP down 35k, Draft Kings down 6k, NIO down 15K, ABML down 8k, and my wife doesn’t know. I'm just hanging on to Jim Cramer's words about opportunities in volatile times so perhaps, I either wait for a recovery or pick profitable investments to substitute for my loss.

  3. i watched a documentary of milton friedman, he had a different view on the matter, now i dont know what to think lol, the documentary is called freedom to chose ep 3

  4. Trading in stocks is nothing more than fancy betting. As with betting (though the best answer to that is "don't do it!"), never use more money than you can afford to lose.

If your initial "toe in the water" is successful, sell enough to cover your original investment and then use your profit to truly start your "adventure."

Never consider that money to be "real"; i.e. don't take out loans, especially not for a mortgage or new business, based on what you have in stocks. Be prepared to lose every stock's full "value" (that's too dubious a description) overnight. If you can do this, you won't worry about what's going on, and you won't bankrupt yourself in the process.

  5. Hoover: "the future of our country is bright with hope."
    100 years later…
Me: surrounded by bills, no house, just a shared apartment, little food that doesn't last half the week, school loan I can never get out of, medical bills that tell you to just die because you can't afford long-term treatment, and 70 hours of work for little pay "The future is bright with hope" he says. "The future is bright with hope" he says. "The future is bright with hope" he says.

  6. I used to believe that everyone loses during a recession, but some make millions. Similarly, I thought everyone went out of business in the Great Depression, but some started new ventures. In short, tough times bring losses for some and profits for others, all rooted in the right mindset. Now, I've saved $220k for the future, even though I'm a complete beginner.

  7. My great grandmother was born the day before the crash and her dad being a major pos (I can go into details but it's bad) claimed her for the crash and it was so bad that only a few details have come down the family even after all this time (my great grandma died in early 2000s and glmy great grandparents were I believe already gone by the time my mom was born which she's almost 55 I think so you know what I know is bad if it's survived 3 generations)
