  1. If I wanted to just add a general spending budget instead of allocating my spending into categories, how can I do that in the app? Is there a “all expenses” tab or something?

  2. Thank you, Ryan, for a great introduction. I have a question regarding a first-time setup for a budget. I have not used any tool like this and do not have a formal budget. If I connect Mint to my credit cards and bank account, will I be able to use past transaction to create a benchmark for a budget? For instance, can it automatically load my last 12 months and help me create a budget structure from this data?

  3. Why do my sub categories for Auto not show up and get totaled when I display my budget screen. The only one that shows up is Gas and Fuel. All the rest are at the bottom under Other. How do I get all the Auto subcategories show up under Auto & Transport?

  4. My subscriptions never showed up, no matter what I do. And there was no video to help with that problem. I can only put in my subscriptions manually.

  5. great video . but what confuses me is when i set my budgeting limit every month , and i use my card for something like 'mcdonalds' , and i expect mint to track that recent purchase but it doesnt , it still says i still have $100 left to spend on fast food this month despite the $10 purchase I just made . any idea how to fix this ?

  6. I so wish that it was easier to make your own categories — I want to name each monthly bill I have so I can see how much "miscellaneous" I have left over after all of my bills are paid. My grocery trips and gas vary so widely that it's hard to see how on track I am (or am not).
