  1. What works for me, at this point in time, is keeping our basic bills until the end of the year. Utilities especially. My reason for this is 1. So I have the account numbers handy. 2. I keep the confirmation number on said bill incase a snag happens. Now rent, I do a money order and hold onto the receipt. Internet and phones are both through the same provider. With the phones being auto near the end of the month.

All that said, I pay as much as I can before the due dates: Net, Repay, Rent, Gas are all paid within the first week of the month.

Utilities and Phones at the end with groceries somewhere in the middle.

  2. You always have great tips! Auto pay is the best, it creates less things for you to do. Leaving credits card home & the prepaid debit card was good too! Thank you.

  3. I'm absolutely committed to learning to live on less as my husband nears retirement, so I reduced our grocery budget by 30% & asked my hubby to get me a preloaded debit card with the budgeted amount transferred onto the card from our checking every month. It's been very, very difficult but I've gotten super close to sticking to budget (only lacked $6 last month) & determined to achieve it. Love all your great–and realistic–suggestions. Thanks!

  4. I love your excellent and educational videos, Thank you and stay blessed.

It is all a SCAMDEMIC, and to give you the death jab.

  5. I struggle with the clutter of paperwork. Never occurred to me to scan & categorize my documents. Thank you so much for this tidbit. Completely unrelated–you look so lovely in your videos.

  6. I clear out my stuff every year… minimalism has helped. We are getting ready to sell our house in hopes to buy a fixer upper investment property on 11 acres. The sale of our house will pay for the farm. We use one account for the paychecks and transfer the money from there to various accounts. Investments go into We-bull. I calendar my bills…e g the first Friday is the mortgage, the second is the township and insurance, and so on and so forth. The mortgage is set aside every week. We set aside extra for it. No debt in 3 years! Credit card debt? What is that?

  7. I prefer mutual funds and ETFs but: It doesn’t take too much effort to choose stocks, you just pick 30-40 in different industries with different performance – many follow the market, silver and gold go opposite of the market, high dividend yields means greater volatility, coke and Kelloggs are things people will always buy therefore safe stocks – same for Costco and others
