I make a budget from scratch and show you how I would do it using Google Sheets. Great for beginners. I also provide a budgeting template in my description! Making a budget is easy and simple with this video.

I have a Personal Finance Tik Tok account and am trying my best to make informative videos on YouTube for everyone. Let me know what topics you’d like to see.
Making a budget comes down to three simple things:
1. Your recurring expenses
2. Your variable expenses
3. Your income
Then you just need to make a plan to attack it, to save, and to invest for your future.

Hey Humphrey, great video first of all! The question is do I have to manually retype for the rest of the months? I want to set up my expense sheet but for the whole year. I dont know much about Google Sheets so I may just lack the knowledge. I tried to copy and paste but the numbers did not reflect.
This was great! Thank you for sharing, it was very helpful.
Literally only needed a template.
Second video, 0 bullshit, right in your description. Thank you.
Sending this to my 18 year old son. πππ Thank you βΊοΈ
What if I want to change dollars to for example SEK/kr???
I love watching Google beg for digits
Greetings,
"If you do any grocery shopping?" …
Cheers
Thank you very much.
Thank you!
β€ Thank you so much for showing me and the template.
Its crazy that after three years hes at a million subs
What's a PLN? I'm totally new to budgeting and pretty financially illiterate. Otherwise, this video is very helpful!! I just have one other question, why budget monthly if you're being paid fortnightly?
How has ur budgeting habits changed over the last 3 years?
Thanks dude!
Great video! To get started, should I begin by inputting January income and expenses or delete your numbers through July and start by inputting August income and expenses?
This is the only budget that makes sense to me! The other ones are structured so weirdly. Thank you!!!
am i able to save the format to automatically do it on a new spreadsheet?
I do this with my students but make sure you include insurance, medical, internet. I also have students think of things that only pay for occasionally like gifts, travel, retirement, investment. Also check these against actual cost after a month.
Thanks Humphrey, easy. efficient. manageable. Mahalo!
Thank you I appreciate you for doing this I am being more responsible with my money.
Thank you for getting straight to the point and not overly complicating this process like so many other channels. Well Done. I have subscribed π
Great but the spreadsheet only has two months… I don't know how to finish it.
thank you SOOO much!!!!!
great stuff right here
Excellent video, Humphrey. Just what I was looking for. Thanks so much for the GS template. I will definitely be using itπππ
3:31 ''groceries, if you do grocery shopping'' Unless you're piss rich, you should be doing grocery shopping instead of eating out lol
Thank you very much. Exactly what I need, simple, straightforward, without a lot of talking or time wasted. I really enjoyed this. Yours look a lot better than the one I did a long time ago.
Hey Humphrey! — I wanted to let you know that Mint is reaching end of life soon and will no longer be supported by Intuit (perhaps due to TurboTax lawsuit?). They are transporting accounts to CreditKarma and that service is lacking most of the personal finance and budgeting tools. I personally don't find the new service valuable. Maybe you can note this in your next update to this video.
This was so helpful to just look into my own expenses.
Hey mate, when I make a copy of the budget template to my account, it appears with only jan and feb? whereas the preview template has jan through dec. How do I download the template and keep all the months?
Awesome, thank you so much
Do you have any receipt scanning advice
If you only see the first 2 months in the spreadsheet, check the tabs at the bottom. You will see a full 12 months
