If I buy MANKX, municipal bond fund, does the price move up and down like a stock? In Nov it was $9.86 and now $10.58. If it goes down to $9.86 again did I just lose money? You said you are contractually guaranteed the return of your principle back. If the price moves up and down then how does that work?

Regarding your dividend stock example for Macyโs, what resources did you use to find out about their long term leases? That type of information would be be valuable when reviewing stocks but I can never seem to find any info beyond the numbers
Investing $1,000 in RIETs, bons, dividend stocks and index funds will make you a few dollars quarterly at best. AirBnB is a lot of work beyond investing $1,000. This fad topic is going to die out in a few years once people realize that it's tougher to achieve than a lot of people make it out to be.

It takes a long time to collect enough money for the bank giving you a mortgage, so that property would produce income.
In my country noone trusts shares and bonds. Either crap or you will never see your money again. Same with the banks. If they decide they don't give you the interest back, there is nothing you can do. You better take your money and be happy they won't charge you. If you attempt to start a business, you are burdened with so much tax and fees that you can't possibly afford from your profit, and if you have no income, you still have to pay those fully.
People are so sceptical about banks, that they take all their money out immediately as their salary touches their account. Insist on paying their bills at the post office with cash, rather than setting up a standing order online.
